Rolling out at the Isle of Hope Art and Music Festival, a new series entitled Spatial Constructs explores the intersection of photography, abstraction, and graphic design. Each piece begins with a captured image that is then transformed through layered digital manipulation (or not) and subtle (or not so subtle) graphic embellishments. Variations in matte, satin and gloss finishes create shifting depths and dance—inviting the viewer to experience movement, light, and space as fluid, interconnected elements.

While viewing the pasture opposite the Clubhouse on Ossabaw Island, I looked up to see the most beautiful array of stratus clouds overhead. The early morning dark blue sky was heavily contrasted by white and gray clouds. The pasture later that day was populated by Ossabaw’s beloved donkeys.
