Abandoned cars and trucks, discarded appliances, worn bicycles, torn boats, exhausted ?lawn mowers and shattered glass provide endless inspiration at the junkyard on Ossabaw Island, Georgia. Nature’s harshest elements: the sun, extreme heat and humidity, salt air, wind, hurricanes and coastal storms work diligently to reclaim these man-made objects. Slowly they disappear, but yet they persevere revealing a series of intriguing patinas and deteriorating surfaces, revealing colors and textures that were too fascinating not to photograph.

Rust and decay, seeing the beauty of wearing away and witnessing battle scars inflicted ?by the weather are the direct result of their tenacity.
